Fair Trade an arrangement designed to help producers in developing countries achieve sustainable and equitable trade relationships. Fair trade is grounded in three core beliefs; first, producers have the power to express unity with consumers. Secondly, the world trade practices that currently exist promote the unequal distribution of wealth between nations. Fair Trade promotes trade equality and justice. From producer through to consumer — it is about ensuring the choices we make have a positive impact on our lives, the lives of others and the environment. Buying Fair Trade products (whether made by artisans or workers or grown by farmers) allows us, as consumers, to support trade justice through our purchasing choices. Fair Trade Association
